سَلامٌ يفوقُ المِسكَ والندَّ نَفحةً
تَضمَّنَcontained شوقاًlonging ليسَnot يَحصُرُهُcontains it الحدُّthe limit
تَضمَّنَ شوقاً ليسَ يَحصُرُهُ الحدُّ
A greeting surpassing musk and incense in fragrance,
A greeting that surpasses musk and ambergris in fragrance
Bearing a longing that no limit can contain,
Containing a yearning that knows no bounds
يُبلَّغُis conveyed ممَّنfrom one who ذابَmelted شوقاًwith longing وحُرقةًand burning anguish
يُبلَّغُ ممَّن ذابَ شوقاً وحُرقةً
لمنto one who ليسَnot يُحصِيreckons فضلَهُhis excellence الحدُّbounds والعدُّand counting
لمن ليسَ يُحصِي فضلَهُ الحدُّ والعدُّ
Conveyed from one who has melted with longing and burning anguish,
Conveyed from one consumed with ardent longing
To one whose excellence is beyond all bounds and reckoning.
To one whose excellence cannot be numbered or counted
