ياO فتىًyouth شبهَlike النَعَمlivestock
يا فتىً شبهَ النَعَم
فيin تَناسيهِhis willful forgetting of النِعَمblessings
في تَناسيهِ النِعَم
O youth, like livestock
O youth who forgets the blessings
in his willful forgetting of blessings,
In his neglect of the bounties
ماnothing يُضاهيmatches قولناour saying
ما يُضاهي قولنا
لاdo not تَقُلsay غيرَother than نَعَمyes
لا تَقُل غيرَ نَعَم
Nothing matches our saying:
None can match our saying
Say nothing but 'yes.'
Say nothing but yes
