هذاthis المَقامُthe station لشيخِناfor our shaykh المُفتيthe mufti غداhas become
هذا المَقامُ لشيخِنا المُفتي غدا
بينَamong البُروجِthe constellations يلوحُshines مثلَlike الفَرقَدِthe Farqad star
بينَ البُروجِ يلوحُ مثلَ الفَرقَدِ
This station of our shaykh, the mufti, now
This dwelling of our Shaykh, the Mufti, in the morn
shines among the constellations like the Farqad star.
Shines like a blazing star amid the constellations.
وبهِand in it مِنby way of التَّاريخthe chronogram نادَىcalled out هاتِفٌa voice
وبهِ مِن التَّاريخ نادَى هاتِفٌ
لكُمُto you الهَناjoy ياO آلfamily of بيتِthe house of محمَّدِMuhammad
لكُمُ الهَنا يا آل بيتِ محمَّدِ
And therein, by way of a chronogram, a voice cried:
And in it a voice calls out the date from history:
Joy be yours, O family of the house of Muhammad!
Rejoice, O Household of Muhammad!
