هذا قِرانُ حُسينٍ قد كتبتُ لهَ
تاريخَchronogram عامِyear of قِرانِconjunction of الشَّمسِthe sun والقَمرِand the moon
تاريخَ عامِ قِرانِ الشَّمسِ والقَمرِ
This is Husayn’s wedding; I have written for it
This is Hussein's Quran which I wrote for him
a chronogram for the year of the sun and moon’s conjunction.
The date of the year of the sun and the moon
ظَفِرتَyou won بالحُسنِwith beauty والحُسنَىand goodness علىaccording to قدَرٍdestiny
ظَفِرتَ بالحُسنِ والحُسنَى على قدَرٍ
فلاso may you not بَرِحتَyou cease مدَىthroughout the span of التَّأريخِhistory فيin ظَفَرِtriumph
فلا بَرِحتَ مدَى التَّأريخِ في ظَفَرِ
You have won beauty and goodness, as fate decreed;
You attained beauty and prosperity as was destined
so may you remain triumphant throughout the span of history.
So you have not ceased being victorious throughout history
