لضريحِfor the tomb of إبراهيمَIbrahim نخلةَNakhla رحمةٌmercy
لضريحِ إبراهيمَ نخلةَ رحمةٌ
مِنfrom ربهِّhis Lord الرَّحمنِthe Most Merciful وَهْوَand he صَفيُّهُHis chosen one
مِن ربهِّ الرَّحمنِ وَهْوَ صَفيُّهُ
May mercy be upon the tomb of Ibrahim Nakhla,
A palm tree of mercy at Abraham's tomb
from his Lord, the Most Merciful, whose chosen one he is.
From his Lord, the Merciful, as he is His intimate
وإذاand if سُئلتَyou are asked لهُfor him عنabout التاريخِthe date قُلْsay
وإذا سُئلتَ لهُ عن التاريخِ قُلْ
فيin حِضنthe bosom of إبراهيمَAbraham باتَspent the night سَميُّهُhis namesake
في حِضن إبراهيمَ باتَ سَميُّهُ
And if you are asked about his date, say:
And if you are asked for its date, say
In Abraham’s bosom his namesake spent the night.
In Abraham's bosom its sapling once slept
