قدindeed فارقَتْshe has left بنتُthe daughter of السَّماطِal-Samāṭ دِيارَهاher dwellings
قد فارقَتْ بنتُ السَّماطِ دِيارَها
لمَّاwhen استعدَّwas ready لهاfor her السِّماطُthe banquet الأعظَمُthe greatest
لمَّا استعدَّ لها السِّماطُ الأعظَمُ
Indeed, the daughter of al-Samāṭ has left her dwellings,
The daughter of al-Samat left her home
when the greatest banquet was made ready for her.
When al-Samat al-Adham made ready for her
ولأجلِهاand for her sake كَتَبَhe wrote المؤرِّخُthe chronicler عاجِلاًpromptly
ولأجلِها كَتَبَ المؤرِّخُ عاجِلاً
مِنfrom عنbeside يمينِthe right side of العرشِthe throne قامَتshe arose مَريمُMaryam
مِن عن يمينِ العرشِ قامَت مَريمُ
And for her sake the chronicler promptly wrote:
And because of her the historian wrote hastily
From beside the throne’s right side, Maryam arose.
