فيin عهدِthe reign of عبدِAbd (servant of) العزيزِal-Aziz (the Mighty) المُستغاثِappealed to for aid بهِthrough him
في عهدِ عبدِ العزيزِ المُستغاثِ بهِ
قامتْarose لناfor us قاعةٌa hall تَسعَىhasten لَهاto it الأُممُthe nations
قامتْ لنا قاعةٌ تَسعَى لَها الأُممُ
In the reign of Abd al-Aziz, whose aid is sought,
A hall arose for us, to which the nations hasten.
بداbecame clear لِمنto those who أرَّخوهاrecorded its date طِيبُthe pleasantness of مَجلِسِهاits gathering place
بدا لِمن أرَّخوها طِيبُ مَجلِسِها
لمَّاwhen تَجاوَرَstood side by side فيهاwithin it النُّونُNūn (the letter n) والقَلمُand the pen
لمَّا تَجاوَرَ فيها النُّونُ والقَلمُ
The charm of its gathering place became clear to those who recorded its date,
When Nūn and the pen stood side by side within it.
