قُسِمتْ لَهم أبياتُها شَطرينِ
How lovely a house it is, with its many visitors!
Oh castle of numerous arrivals
Its rooms were divided into two halves for them.
Its verses are split in two
فإذاand if كفَىsuffices التأريخُthe chronogram يوماًever غيرَهاsomething other than it
فإذا كفَى التأريخُ يوماً غيرَها
يأتيcomes مُؤرِّخُهاits chronogram-maker بتأريخينِwith two chronograms
يأتي مُؤرِّخُها بتأريخينِ
And if one chronogram ever suffices for another house,
So when dating excludes a day apart from her
Its chronogram-maker comes with two chronograms.
