You are the Friend; amid the ruins is the coolness of flame—

The ruins of Acre—and the casting off of terror and caution.

كن بالغاً أوجَ سعدٍ ما بهِ ضررٌ

أو غالباً لم يزَل في أوَّل الظفرِ

أو غالباً لم يزَل في أوَّل الظفرِ

Be one who reaches fortune’s zenith, with no harm in it,

Or a victor still at the outset of triumph.
