هذا ضريحُ فتىً بنعمةِ ربِّهِ

هذا ضريحُ فتىً بنعمةِ ربِّهِ

ولَّى فأعطاهُ نعيمَ سماءِ

ولَّى فأعطاهُ نعيمَ سماءِ

This is the tomb of a youth who, by his Lord’s grace,

departed, and He granted him the bliss of heaven.

وترَى بَنانَ مُؤَرِّخٍ كَتَبَتْ بهِ

وترَى بَنانَ مُؤَرِّخٍ كَتَبَتْ بهِ

أُعطي النَّعيمُ لنعمة بنِ عَطاءِ

أُعطي النَّعيمُ لنعمة بنِ عَطاءِ

And you see a chronogram writer’s fingers have inscribed upon it:

“Bliss was given to Niʿma ibn ʿAṭāʾ.”
