Patience, O noble sons of al-Bunduqiyyah,
the loss of a man admirable in himself and in his legacy.
For parting with one whose eyes and deeds were virtuous.

Nasr Allah went to God victorious,
Victory of God went to God victoriously;

The full moon was overtaken by eclipse, enfolded
The full moon was eclipsed underneath the soil
beneath the earth by God's decree and destiny.
By God's decree and predestination.

فَصُغتُ للقبرِ تاريخاً رقَمْتُ بهِ

يسقيكَ قَطرُ النَّدَى يا منزِلَ القَمرِ
So I composed a chronogram for the grave, inscribing on it:
So I listened to the grave and inscribed on it
May drops of dew water you, O dwelling of the moon!
May the drops of dew water you, O dwelling place of the moon.
