She stood, tormenting me with her body's allure.

And purity spares her the ill consequences of her sin.

She shed her sheer garments, and my soul cried out:

Impossible! I cannot describe or portray her.

For poetry cannot grasp her attributes,

And art balks, falling short of a precise understanding of her.

And I prostrated myself, reverent awe engulfing me; nor did

My soul touch the farthest frontier of the mysteries.

And I remained worshipping her with the devotion of one silent,

Who beheld the truth and alone possessed its knowledge.

So she covered herself when she saw me at a loss

To describe her, portray her, or embrace her.
