الطاعِنُthe one who thrusts الطَعنَةَthe thrust يَومَon the day of الوَغىbattle
الطاعِنُ الطَعنَةَ يَومَ الوَغى
يَنهَلُdrink their fill مِنهاfrom it الأَسَلُthe spears الناهِلُthirsty
يَنهَلُ مِنها الأَسَلُ الناهِلُ
The warrior who drives home his thrust on battle-day—
He who delivers the thrust on the day of battle—
from it the thirsting spear-points stream forth.
from it the thirsty spears drink their fill.
