أَخلاقُvirtues مَجدِكَyour glory جَلَّتare sublime ماno لَهاthey have خَطَرٌequal in worth
أَخلاقُ مَجدِكَ جَلَّت ما لَها خَطَرٌ
فيin البَأسِvalor وَالجودِand generosity بَينَbetween العِلمِknowledge وَالخَبَرِand report
في البَأسِ وَالجودِ بَينَ العِلمِ وَالخَبَرِ
The virtues of your glory are sublime; they have no equal
Your virtues clearly shine, unparalleled
In valor and generosity, in what is known and what is reported.
In valor and benevolence, knowledge and experience,
مُتَوَّجٌcrowned بِالمَعاليwith lofty honors فَوقَabove مَفرِقِهِthe crown of his head
مُتَوَّجٌ بِالمَعالي فَوقَ مَفرِقِهِ
وَفيand in الوَغىbattle ضَيغَمٌa lion فيin صورَةِthe form القَمَرِthe moon
وَفي الوَغى ضَيغَمٌ في صورَةِ القَمَرِ
Crowned with lofty honors above the crown of his head,
Crowned with glory above the parting of your hair,
And in battle, a lion in the form of the moon.
A bright moon amidst the fury of battle.
