مُستَقبِلُ الخَيرِ سَريعُ التَمام

This is a boy whose face is fair,

This is a boy with a beautiful face

Welcoming goodness, swift to reach full growth,

The harbinger of good, accomplished with haste

لِلحارِثِ الأَكبَرِ وَالحارِثِ الـ

لِلحارِثِ الأَكبَرِ وَالحارِثِ الـ

ـأَصغَرِ وَالأَعرَجِ خَيرِ الأَنام

ـأَصغَرِ وَالأَعرَجِ خَيرِ الأَنام

Of al-Harith the Elder, and al-Harith the—

For Al-Harith the elder and Al-Harith the

Younger, and al-A‘raj, the best of humankind,

Younger, and Al-A'raj, the best of men

ثُمَّ لِهِندٍ وَلِهِندٍ وَقَد

ثُمَّ لِهِندٍ وَلِهِندٍ وَقَد

أَسرَعَ في الخَيراتِ مِنهُ إِمام

أَسرَعَ في الخَيراتِ مِنهُ إِمام

Then of Hind and of Hind; and already

Then for Hind and for Hind, who

A leader of his line has hastened to good deeds.

Spearheaded virtues faster than any leader

خَمسَةُ آبائِهِمُ ما هُمُ

خَمسَةُ آبائِهِمُ ما هُمُ

هُم خَيرُ مَن يَشرَبُ صَوبَ الغَمام

هُم خَيرُ مَن يَشرَبُ صَوبَ الغَمام

Five of their forefathers—what men they are!

The five fathers of theirs, they are

They are the best of those who drink the clouds’ rain.

The finest who drink from the clouds of bounty
