دارٌ مُبارَكَةُ المَلكِ الَّذي فيها
The house most worthy of being called blessed
Is there a home more deserving to be called blessed,
The house most truly deserving of the title 'Blessed',
Is a house blessed by the king who dwells within it.
Than a blessed home of the king who lives in it,
Is the home made blessed by the King residing therein.

And the house most deserving of rain for its dweller's sake
And which home is more deserving to prosper through its dweller,
And the house most worthy of rain for its dweller's sake,
Is a house whose inhabitants people now beseech for rain.
Than a home whose people tomorrow will beg from its inhabitants.
Is a house whose own folk the people beseech for rain.

فَمَن يَمُرُّ عَلى الأولى يُسَلّيها
These are your other dwellings; we congratulate them.
So whoever passes the first one, says goodbye to it,
These are your new mansions—we offer them our joy,
So who will pass by the former ones to console them?
When you settle in a place after its master,
While he who passes your former home must offer it solace.

When you settle in one abode after another,
You made those after it long for it.
When you settle in a place another held before you,
You instill in it pride over what came before it.
No mind denies a home that has in it,
You grant it a haughty pride over all it was before.

فَإِنَّ ريحَكَ روحٌ في مَغانيها
Reason cannot be denied a house in which you dwell,
Your scent is a spirit in its melodies,
One cannot deny intellect to a house wherein you dwell,
For your fragrance is a soul within its abodes.
Your good fortune is complete, for whoever meets you first,
For your essence breathes a living soul into its courts.

May he who first granted you good fortune bring it to perfection,
And none recovered a life given by you.
May He who granted you the start of fortune complete your bliss,
And may the giver of your life never reclaim it from you.
And may the Bestower of your life never seek to take it back.
