The earth dries after these clouds’ rain,
The earth becomes dry of this downpour
The earth dries up from the moisture of these clouds,
And the garments they clothed her in wear out.
And He creates what He clothed it in of garb
And the garments that once clothed it fade and wear,
وَماand not يَنفَكُّceases to be مِنكَthrough you الدَهرُtime رَطباًmoist

Yet time remains ever moist through you,
And the time does not stop being moist from you
Yet through you, Time remains forever fresh with life,
And your rain never ceases to pour.
And your rain does not stop in pouring down
And the rain of your benevolence is in constant flow.

مُسايَرَةَ الأَحِبّاءِ الطِرابِ
The night clouds and morning clouds journey beside you,
The valleys and meadows accompany you
The clouds of night and morning journey alongside you,
As joyful friends accompany one another.
The accompaniment of lovers enraptured
Keeping pace like beloved companions stirred by joy;

They learn generosity from you and imitate it,
You grant generosity so it learns from you
They learn the art of giving from you and follow your lead,
Yet fall short of your sweet qualities.
And your perfect nature baffles tribulation
Yet they fail to attain the sweetness of your nature.
