أُنبئتI was told أنthat سخيفfeeble العقلthe mind قالsaid لكمto you (plural)
أُنبئت أن سخيف العقل قال لكم
إنindeed الذيthe one who شاءwilled خلقيmy creation شاءwilled سفكshedding دميmy blood
إن الذي شاء خلقي شاء سفك دمي
I was told that a feeble-minded man said to you
I was told that a fool said to you all
I was told that a feeble-minded fool declared to you,
that He who willed my creation willed the shedding of my blood.
That He who willed my creation willed my blood be shed
That He who willed my creation has willed my blood be shed;
وكيفand how يقتلنيkills me منone who سوفwill أقتلهI kill him
وكيف يقتلني من سوف أقتله
وهلand can تزلُّslip وربيwhile my Lord ناصريmy helper قدميmy foot
وهل تزلُّ وربي ناصري قدمي
And how can one whom I shall kill kill me?
And how can He kill me, whom I will kill
Yet how can he slay me, he whom I am destined to slay?
And can my foot slip while my Lord is my helper?
Never! My Lord is the helper of my steps
And how could my foot slip while my Lord is my support?
