  1. ظل الهاتف يجأر

    لا يد تلتقط السماعة

    The telephone kept bellowing

    No hand picks up the receiver

  2. قبل قليل

    ذبحت قنبلة أعضاء المنزل

    A little while ago

    A bomb slaughtered the household's members

  3. و الدم ما زال هناك

    يرتل آيات الفاجعة.

    And the blood is still there

    Chanting the verses of the calamity.

    لا تطفئوا فيه الشذا فهْوَ في

  5. أرواحنا لعطره ناشرُ

    ليس يريد المال من نشره

  6. يكفيه أجرا أنه شاعرُ

  10. ضجر الموت من نفسه

    حيث قابيل في الشام يقتل هابيل

  11. و الدم يصرخ في طرقات العراق

    و في اليمن الضاج بالحزن

    And the blood screams in the streets of Iraq

    قاضي القوم المفرط في الحنكة
