  1. بدا ثغر الولاية في أمان

    بحسن مآثر السعي الحميد

    The province’s frontier appeared secure

    Through the fine achievements of praiseworthy endeavor.

  2. وبدر تمامه وافى بشيراً

    بنصر الدين في العصر السعيد

    And the full moon of its completion arrived bearing good tidings

    Of victory for the faith in the happy age.

  3. فقلت مؤرخاً نصر سعيد

    بنصب مدافع الطرز الجديد

    So I said, marking the date: “A happy victory

    By installing cannons of the new design.”
