Have daisies sprouted in a land of co-

The apple trees bloomed in bitter soil

ral by the pool of al-Kawthar?

As if they were by the Basin of Abundance

أم قبلت زهر الريا

أم قبلت زهر الريا

ض شقائق ابن المنذر

Or were the blossoms of the gar-

Or had kissed the flowers of meadows

dens kissed by Ibn al-Mundhir's anemones?

And poppies of Ibn Mundhir

أم رابطت ثغر العقي

أم رابطت ثغر العقي

ق عساكر من جوهر

ق عساكر من جوهر

Or was the mouth of aga-

Or had gathered around the slender one

te garrisoned by armies of jewels?

Armies of pure essence
