  1. مارست دين الحب فيك وفنه

    يا مفرداً فرض الغرام وسنَّه

    I have practiced love's religion and its art for you.

    O peerless one, who ordained passion and made it law.

  2. قلبي يظن بأن حبك قاتلي

    وسهام صدّك لا تخيب ظنه

    My heart believes that your love will slay me,

    And the arrows of your rejection do not disappoint its expectation.
