    Love has called you; answer the one who called you.

    It inscribed its ardent longing in your youth.

    And leave aside all but the heralds of love,

    and believe them; distrust whoever forbids you.

    And why do you complain of Suha and sleeplessness?

    Do you deny what your own hands have wrought?

  6. ويا قلب تشتاق من تشتهيه

    وأنت لديه فكيف جفاك

    And O heart, you yearn for the one you desire,

    though you are with him—how, then, has he shunned you?

    I implore you to deal justly with your Mustafa.

    Fate has decreed my misery at your hands;

    so do not make coldness part of your decree.

  10. هواك برى ما ترى من عظامي

    and I have suffered sickness beyond what you wished.

    What fault has a slave who obeyed you in his love

    and defied his reproachers—all but you?

    تسوم بكل عظيم رضاك
