فَإِذا تَنَبَّهَ رُعتَهُ وَإِذا غَفا

فَإِذا تَنَبَّهَ رُعتَهُ وَإِذا غَفا

سَلَّت عَلَيهِ سُيوفَكَ الأَحلامُ

سَلَّت عَلَيهِ سُيوفَكَ الأَحلامُ

So when he wakes, you frighten him; and when he dozes off,

When he is awake, tend to him, and when he sleeps,

dreams unsheathe your swords against him.

Let your swords of dreams assail him.
