الحَزمُprudence تَخريقُهُtearing it to pieces إِنif كُنتَyou are ذاpossessing حَذرٍcaution
الحَزمُ تَخريقُهُ إِن كُنتَ ذا حَذرٍ
وَإِنَّماand only الحَزمُprudence سوءُbadness الظَنِّopinion بِالناسِof people
وَإِنَّما الحَزمُ سوءُ الظَنِّ بِالناسِ
Prudence lies in tearing it to pieces, if you are wary.
Prudence is slander, if you are cautious.
And prudence is nothing but distrust of people.
Prudence is only evil suspicion of mankind.
لَقَدsurely أَتاكَit has reached you وَقَدand already أَدّىdischarged أَمانَتَهُits trust
لَقَد أَتاكَ وَقَد أَدّى أَمانَتَهُ
فَاِجعَلso place صِيانَتَهُits safekeeping فيin بَطنِdepths أَرماسِgraves
فَاِجعَل صِيانَتَهُ في بَطنِ أَرماسِ
It has surely reached you and discharged its trust;
He has come to you and fulfilled his trust.
so place its safekeeping in the depths of graves.
So keep his honor in the belly of a sand grouse.
