لَعَلَّperhaps لَهُhe has عُذراًan excuse وَأَنتَwhile you تَلومُyou blame
لَعَلَّ لَهُ عُذراً وَأَنتَ تَلومُ
وَكَمand many a لائِمٍreproacher قَدindeed لامَhe blamed وَهوَwhile he مُليمُblameworthy
وَكَم لائِمٍ قَد لامَ وَهوَ مُليمُ
Perhaps he has an excuse, yet you blame him.
Perhaps he has an excuse, while you blame him,
And many a reproacher has reproached, though he himself is blameworthy.
And how many blamers have blamed, while they are blamable.
