وَأَكثَرَ ما تَلقى الأَماني كَواذِباً

وَأَكثَرَ ما تَلقى الأَماني كَواذِباً

فَإِن صَدَقَت جازَت بِصاحِبِها القَدرا

فَإِن صَدَقَت جازَت بِصاحِبِها القَدرا

And most often you find hopes false;

And most of what hopes encounter are liars

but if they come true, they carry their bearer beyond measure.

Yet if they prove true, destiny still escorts them
