    And streams set alongside streams,

From a night-cloud's downpour and flashes of lightning.

I sought them early, before morning, in the predawn hour,

Before Capella's [Milky Way?] grew dim.

    Red, clear-robed, delicious,

In a mantle of camphor and the hue of saffron perfume,

From the hand of a dark-eyed, coquettish young gazelle,

Who captivates minds with his gracefully slender form.
