كَأَنَّهُas though it were شِلوُa carcass كَبشٍof a ram وَالهَواءُand the air لَهُfor it
كَأَنَّهُ شِلوُ كَبشٍ وَالهَواءُ لَهُ
تَنّورُan oven شاوِيَةٍof a woman who roasts meat وَالجَذعُand the tree trunk سُفّودُa roasting spit
تَنّورُ شاوِيَةٍ وَالجَذعُ سُفّودُ
As though it were a ram’s carcass, and the air for it
As if he were a ram's carcass and the air for him
A woman roaster’s oven, and the tree trunk a roasting spit.
An oven blazing hot, and the trunk kindling wood
