اغضبْrage، فلاfor neither عَرَبٌArabs ولاnor عَجَمٌnon-Arabs معَكْwith you
اغضبْrage كماlike ريحٍa wind يُقلِّبُهاtosses it about مَلَكْan angel
Rage, for neither Arabs nor non-Arabs are with you.
Be angry, for neither Arab nor foreigner is with you
Rage like a wind tossed about by an angel.
Be angry like the wind flipped by an angel

Seventy summers... Did their talk reach you
or has a silence in the seasons delayed you?
Or did their silence in the seasons delay you?
اقبضْgrasp علىonto طينِclay البلادِthe land بيَسْرةٍwith your left hand
واترُكْand leave يمينكَyour right hand للمُدىfor the knives، فالنصرُfor victory لكْis yours
Grasp the land's clay with your left hand,
Grasp the country’s clay with your left hand
and leave your right hand for the knives, for victory is yours.
And leave your right hand for the reach, for victory is yours
