إنْif كانَis حُبًّاlove ماwhat تقولُyou say وتدَّعيْand you claim
فلَقدْthen indeed وَهبتُI have offered لأجلِfor the sake of قلبِكَyour heart مَصْرعيْmy death
If what you say and claim is love,
If it is love, as you claim and profess
then I have offered my death for your heart’s sake.
For your heart's sake, my death I'd bless
لكنّناbut we فيin كذبةٍa lie «نِـيسانُهاits April»
جسدٌa body يخاتلُdeceives فيin بكاءٍweeping أدمُعيْmy tears
But we are in a lie whose “April”
Yet we live a lie, its "April" a farce
is a body that deceives my tears amid weeping.
My body writhing, tears leaving their marks

أمشيI walk وقلبيْand my heart.. ماnot لَهُit has غيريْother than me مَعيْwith me

And here we are, after once being close
I walk, my heart with me—it has no one but me.
I walk alone, my heart no companion knows
