أَرِحْنيgive me relief مِنْكَfrom you قدْindeed أَثقلْتَyou have weighed down صَدْريْmy chest
أَرِحْني مِنْكَ قدْ أَثقلْتَ صَدْريْ
وَماand not أَدْريI know إذاwhether ماemphatic particle كُنْتَyou were تَدْريْyou know!
وَما أَدْري إذا ما كُنْتَ تَدْريْ!
Give me respite from you; you have weighed down my chest.
Relieve me of you, for you have weighed down my chest
And I do not know whether you know
And I don't know if you even know!
بأَنَّكَthat you فائِضٌoverflowing عَنْbeyond كُلِّevery قَلْبٍheart
بأَنَّكَ فائِضٌ عَنْ كُلِّ قَلْبٍ
كَماءٍlike water فَوْقَover وجْهَthe face of الماءِthe water يَجْريْflows
كَماءٍ فَوْقَ وجْهَ الماءِ يَجْريْ
That you overflow beyond every heart,
That you overflow every heart
Like water flowing over the face of water.
