حَسَدُواthey envied عُلُوميmy learning خامِلاًwhile obscure فَأُتِيحَthen was granted ليto me
حَسَدُوا عُلُومي خامِلاً فَأُتِيحَ لي
حَظٌّgood fortune فكانَso it became لَهُمْfor them مُقيماًmaking them rise مُقْعِداmaking them sit
حَظٌّ فكانَ لَهُمْ مُقيماً مُقْعِدا
They envied my learning while I was obscure; then I was granted
Envying my knowledge while dormant was granted to me
good fortune, which set them restlessly rising and sitting.
A share so to them it's established residing
فَأَناso I عَلَىin الحالَيْنboth states مَحْسُودٌenvied لَهُمْby them
فَأَنا عَلَى الحالَيْن مَحْسُودٌ لَهُمْ
اللهُGod أكبرُgreatest لَسْتُI am not أُعْدَمُI am deprived of حاسِداan envier
اللهُ أكبرُ لَسْتُ أُعْدَمُ حاسِدا
So in both states I am envied by them.
Thus over both states I'm envied by them
God is greatest! I never lack an envier.
God is greatest I do not lack an envier
