أَيَاO مَلِكاًking تَفَتَّنَexcelled فيin الْعَطَايَاgifts
أَيَا مَلِكاً تَفَتَّنَ في الْعَطَايَا
فَسَارَتْso they spread فيin الْوِهَادِthe lowlands وَفيand in الْيَفاعِthe heights
فَسَارَتْ في الْوِهَادِ وَفي الْيَفاعِ
O king who excelled in giving gifts,
O king dazzled by gifts
So they spread through the lowlands and the heights.
That went to the valleys and the deserts
كَسَوْتَyou clothed ذَويthose with الْمَشِيبِgray hair معْalong with كُهُولmiddle-aged men
كَسَوْتَ ذَوي الْمَشِيبِ معْ كُهُول
وَمَنْand whoever هُوَhe فيin الشّبابِyouth وَفيand in الرَّضاعِsuckling
وَمَنْ هُوَ في الشّبابِ وَفي الرَّضاعِ
You clothed the gray-haired along with the middle-aged,
You have clothed the gray-haired and the aged
And those in youth and those still at the breast.
