نَفْعٍ يَعُودُ على الدُّنْيا أو الدِّينِ
May no good come of you! In your life abroad, what
No benefit accrues from your estrangement
benefit accrues to this world or to religion?
To world or faith, yet you persist in wrong.
مَاذَاwhat دَعاكَdrove you لِضُرٍّto harm بالقَرابَةِto the kin والand the
مَاذَا دَعاكَ لِضُرٍّ بالقَرابَةِ وال
أَصْحابِcompanions بَعْدَafter الرَّعاياthe subjects والْمَساكِينِand the poor
أَصْحابِ بَعْدَ الرَّعايا والْمَساكِينِ
What drove you to harm your kin and
What led you to abuse kinship’s claim
companions, after the subjects and the poor?
And spurn both comrades and the destitute?
