أَطِلْProlong عُمُريmy life حَتّىuntil أَرَىI see الحقَّthe truth ظَاهِراًmanifest
وأَهْدِمَand I tear down جَوْراًinjustice وابْتداعاًand religious innovation ومُنْكَراand wrongdoing
Prolong my life until I see the truth manifest,
and tear down injustice, religious innovation, and wrongdoing,
وأنْشُرَand I publish ماwhat صَنَّفْتُهُI have written it غَيْرَnot هائِبٍafraid
لِقَوْلِof the words of جَهُولٍan ignoramus إنif صَفَاruns clear الْحَقُّthe truth كَدَّراhe muddies it
and publish what I have written, unafraid
of an ignoramus’s words—if the truth runs clear, he muddies it.
