شَبَّهْتُ مَولانا الإمَامَ وسَيْفَهُ

شَبَّهْتُ مَولانا الإمَامَ وسَيْفَهُ

ثُمَّ الْجَوادَ وَظُلَّةً تتَرَفَّعُ

ثُمَّ الْجَوادَ وَظُلَّةً تتَرَفَّعُ

I likened our lord, the Imam, and his sword,

Then the steed and a canopy rising high,

بَدْرٌ عَلَى عَلَمٍ وَقَدْ دارَتْ بِهِ

بَدْرٌ عَلَى عَلَمٍ وَقَدْ دارَتْ بِهِ

سُحُبٌ وضَوْءُ الْبَرْقِ فِيها يَلْمَعُ

سُحُبٌ وضَوْءُ الْبَرْقِ فِيها يَلْمَعُ

To a full moon upon a mountain, encircled by

Clouds, with lightning’s radiance flashing within them.
