أَتَطْلُبُ الْحَقِيقَهْ

أَتَطْلُبُ الْحَقِيقَهْ

وتَسْلُكُ الطَّرِيقَهْ

وتَسْلُكُ الطَّرِيقَهْ

Do you seek the truth,

You seek the truth,

and tread the path,

Yet walk the wrong path,

وأَنْتَ عاصٍ خَاطِي

وأَنْتَ عاصٍ خَاطِي

مُفَرِّطٌ مُتَعاطِي

مُفَرِّطٌ مُتَعاطِي

while you are disobedient and sinful,

Disobeying, sinning,

negligent and given to wrongdoing,

Neglectful, indulging,

وَصَنَمُ الرِّياسَهْ

وَصَنَمُ الرِّياسَهْ

عِنْدَكَ في نَفَاسَهْ

عِنْدَكَ في نَفَاسَهْ

and the idol of leadership

The idol of power

is precious in your eyes?

Is in its glory to you,

يا وَاهِبَ الإحْسانِ

يا وَاهِبَ الإحْسانِ

لِعَبْدِكَ الشَّوكَاني

لِعَبْدِكَ الشَّوكَاني

O Giver of kindness

O Giver of Favors

to Your servant al-Shawkani,

To Your servant Ash-Shawkanee

أَعْطَيْتَهُ الْجَزِيلا

أَعْطَيْتَهُ الْجَزِيلا

مَنَحْتَهُ الجلِيلا

مَنَحْتَهُ الجلِيلا

You have given him abundant gifts,

You have given him plenty

You have bestowed great gifts upon him,

Bestowed on him bounty

تَكَرُّماً تَفَضُّلا

تَكَرُّماً تَفَضُّلا

تَحَنُّنا تَطَوُّلا

تَحَنُّنا تَطَوُّلا

out of generosity and grace,

Out of generosity and grace

out of compassion and bounty.

Out of compassion and kindness

فاتْمِمْ عَلَيْهِ النِّعَمَا

فاتْمِمْ عَلَيْهِ النِّعَمَا

واسْبلْ عَلَيْهِ الْكَرَما

واسْبلْ عَلَيْهِ الْكَرَما

So complete Your blessings upon him,

So complete Your blessings upon him

and shower generosity upon him,

And shower him with generosity

واخْتِمْ لَهُ بالخَيْرِ

واخْتِمْ لَهُ بالخَيْرِ

في سِرِّهِ والْجَهْرِ

في سِرِّهِ والْجَهْرِ

and grant him a good end,

And conclude for him with good

in his private and public life.
