ياO رَبِّmy Lord قَدْindeed ضَاقَhas narrowed عَلَيَّfor me السَّبِيلْthe way
يا رَبِّ قَدْ ضَاقَ عَلَيَّ السَّبِيلْ
وكَدَّرَand troubled الخَاطِرَthe mind قالٌtalk وقيلْand hearsay
وكَدَّرَ الخَاطِرَ قالٌ وقيلْ
O my Lord, the way has indeed narrowed for me,
And talk and hearsay have troubled my mind.
وَعاثَand ravaged فيin عِرْضِيmy honor مِنَamong النّاسِthe people مَنْone who
وَعاثَ في عِرْضِي مِنَ النّاسِ مَنْ
لَهُhe has مِنَof الرَّفْضِRafidism (rejectionism) شَرَابٌa draught وَبيلْnoxious
لَهُ مِنَ الرَّفْضِ شَرَابٌ وَبيلْ
And someone among the people has assailed my honor,
Whose draught of Rafidism is noxious.
وَلَيْسَand there is not ليfor me ذَنبٌany fault سِوَىexcept أَنّنِيthat I
وَلَيْسَ لي ذَنبٌ سِوَى أَنّنِي
نَشَرْتُI spread أَقْوالَthe sayings الرَّسُولِof the Messenger الجَلِيلْthe noble
نَشَرْتُ أَقْوالَ الرَّسُولِ الجَلِيلْ
And I have no fault except that I
Spread the sayings of the noble Messenger.
