لِمْ يكونَ النَّوحُ ياوُرْ

لِمْ يكونَ النَّوحُ ياوُرْ

قا ومَحْبُوبَكِ حاضِرْ

قا ومَحْبُوبَكِ حاضِرْ

Why should there be mourning, O dove,

when your beloved is here?

وكَذَا فَرْخَاكش في الْعُ

وكَذَا فَرْخَاكش في الْعُ

شِّ هُمَا قُرَّبُ باصِرْ

شِّ هُمَا قُرَّبُ باصِرْ

And your two chicks, too, are in the nest,

both close by, within sight.

وأنا مِنْ دُونِ أحْبا

وأنا مِنْ دُونِ أحْبا

بِي وأفْراخِي قُراقِرْ

بِي وأفْراخِي قُراقِرْ

While I, far from my loved ones

and my chicks, coo plaintively.

رَبِّ بَلّغْنِي إلَيْهِمْ

رَبِّ بَلّغْنِي إلَيْهِمْ

سالِماً مِمّا أحاذِرْ

سالِماً مِمّا أحاذِرْ

My Lord, bring me to them,

safe from what I fear.
