وأَصْعَبُand the hardest ماthat which يُلاقِيencounters المْرءُa person شُغْلٌan occupation
وأَصْعَبُ ما يُلاقِي المْرءُ شُغْلٌ
بَغِيضٌhateful لاnot يُطِيقُhe can bear لَهُfrom it فِراقاseparation
بَغِيضٌ لا يُطِيقُ لَهُ فِراقا
And the hardest thing a person encounters is an occupation
The hardest thing a person faces is an
That is hateful, yet he cannot bear to part with it.
Odious task he cannot bear to abandon
