رُبُعُa quarter العُمْرِof life بالصِّباin youth قَدْalready تَقَضَّىhas passed
رُبُعُ العُمْرِ بالصِّبا قَدْ تَقَضَّى
وَيَلِيهِand follows it رُبْعقa quarter (apparent typo) بِرَبْعِin the abode of العُلُومِthe sciences
وَيَلِيهِ رُبْعق بِرَبْعِ العُلُومِ
A quarter of life has already passed in youth;
A quarter of life has passed by
and a quarter follows it in the abode of learning.
And follows a quarter to gain knowledge
وَأَرَىand I see الثَّالِثَthe third الْمُطِلَّcoming into view عَلَيْناupon us
وَأَرَى الثَّالِثَ الْمُطِلَّ عَلَيْنا
رُبُعٌa quarter فِيهِin it نَيْلُattainment of كُلِّevery مَرُومِdesired thing
رُبُعٌ فِيهِ نَيْلُ كُلِّ مَرُومِ
And I see the third, approaching us,
I see the third is being prolonged
a quarter in which all that is sought is attained.
A quarter to reap what was sown
ويَلِيهand follows it رُبْعُthe quarter of التَّأَلُّهِdevotion to God والأَحْand the states (first part of الأحوال)
ويَلِيه رُبْعُ التَّأَلُّهِ والأَحْ
والِstates (continuation of الأحوال) والاِنْكِشافِand the unveiling للْمَكْتُومِof what is hidden
والِ والاِنْكِشافِ للْمَكْتُومِ
Then follows the quarter of devotion to God and spiritual
And follows the quarter of devotion, yearning
states, and the unveiling of what is hidden.
And revelation of the hidden
