Indeed, a man who bore enmity toward the imam of guidance—
He who bears enmity towards the Imam of guidance
In whom every sound quality is found—
In whom resides every true meaning

And of whom the Chosen One said, “Hatred of him
And of whom Mustafa declared his hatred
Is a mark of disbelief and blatant hypocrisy”—
Is a clear sign of blasphemy and overt hypocrisy

Is not worthy of loyalty, nor
He is not worthy of loyalty or
Of defending his ailing, wounded honor.
Defending a frail and wounded honor

And the truth is not hidden from a scholar
And the truth is not hidden from a knowledgeable man
Who revels on knowledge’s spacious racecourse.
Who roams freely in the vast field of knowledge

But these are passions: whoever lacks
But it is desires in one who does not possess
Fairness falls because of them, or comes to ruin.
Integrity by which he would either rise or fall
