ياO رَبِّmy Lord قَدْindeed حَدَّثَتْنِيhas told me النَّفْسُthe soul أَنَّthat لَهاit has
يا رَبِّ قَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي النَّفْسُ أَنَّ لَها
حَظّاًa share لَدَيْكَwith You بِنَشْرِthrough spreading الْحَقِّthe truth فيin الْيَمَنِYemen
حَظّاً لَدَيْكَ بِنَشْرِ الْحَقِّ في الْيَمَنِ
O Lord, my soul has told me that it has

a share with You through spreading the truth in Yemen.

وَمَاand what عَلَيَّupon me رَجاhoping for الأمْرِthe matter الْعَظِيمِthe great مِنَfrom الthe
وَمَا عَلَيَّ رَجا الأمْرِ الْعَظِيمِ مِنَ ال
رَّبِّLord الْكَرِيمِthe generous بِلاَwithout سَعْيٍeffort وَلاand without ثَمَنِpayment
رَّبِّ الْكَرِيمِ بِلاَ سَعْيٍ وَلا ثَمَنِ
And why should I not hope for the great matter from the—
And what harm is there in my hoping for something great from the
generous Lord, without striving and without price?
