أُريدُI wish إجْمامَrest ذِهْنيmy mind عَنْfrom مُبَاحَثَةٍscholarly discussion
أُريدُ إجْمامَ ذِهْني عَنْ مُبَاحَثَةٍ
بِدَفْتَرٍwith a book فيهِin it آدابٌliterature وأَلْطافُand delights
بِدَفْتَرٍ فيهِ آدابٌ وأَلْطافُ
I wish to rest my mind from scholarly discussion
I want to immerse my mind, without discussion
with a book containing literature and delights.
In a book of courtesy and wit
قَدْalready أَيْنَعَتْhave ripened ثَمَراتٌfruits للعُقُولِfor minds بِهِin it
قَدْ أَيْنَعَتْ ثَمَراتٌ للعُقُولِ بِهِ
فَهَلْso, is there لَدَيْكَwith you جَمالَJamal الدِّينِal-Din إسْعافُhelp
فَهَلْ لَدَيْكَ جَمالَ الدِّينِ إسْعافُ
In it, fruits for minds have ripened;
Where fruits have ripened for intellects
so, Jamal al-Din, can you offer help?
Do you, my friend, have books to benefit?
