قالوا فَريقُ الرَّفْضِ قَدْ أَرْجَفوا

قالوا فَريقُ الرَّفْضِ قَدْ أَرْجَفوا

عَلَيْكَ في النَّاسِ بقالٍ وَقيلْ

عَلَيْكَ في النَّاسِ بقالٍ وَقيلْ

They said, “The Rāfiḍa faction has spread rumors

They said the rejectors attacked you among the people with slander and gossip

against you among the people, with gossip and hearsay.”

I said I do not fear as long as I have an army

فَقُلْتُ لا أَخْشى وَلي جُنَّةٌ

فَقُلْتُ لا أَخْشى وَلي جُنَّةٌ

هِيَ حَسْبِيَ اللهُ ونِعْمَ الوكِيلْ

هِيَ حَسْبِيَ اللهُ ونِعْمَ الوكِيلْ

So I said, “I fear not, for I have a shield:

It is enough for me, God is my protector and best guardian

‘God is sufficient for me, and what an excellent Trustee He is!’”
