مَا طالَ مَا حَرَّرْتُهُ

مَا طالَ مَا حَرَّرْتُهُ

بَلْ طَابَ يا فَرْدَ الزَّمَنْ

What I have written is not long;

No matter how long I've written it

rather, it is pleasing, O peerless one of the age.

But it turned out well, O singular of time

يا شَيْبَةَ الْعِتْرَةِ يا

يا شَيْبَةَ الْعِتْرَةِ يا

شَيْخَ بَني السِّبْطِ الْحَسَنْ

شَيْخَ بَني السِّبْطِ الْحَسَنْ

O gray-haired elder of the family, O

O elder of the family, O

elder of the descendants of the grandson al-Hasan.

ما أَنْتَ إلا جَوْهَرٌ

ما أَنْتَ إلا جَوْهَرٌ

مَنْ يَعْرِفُ الْجَوْهَرَ مَنْ

مَنْ يَعْرِفُ الْجَوْهَرَ مَنْ

You are nothing but a jewel.

You are nothing but a gem

Who recognizes the jewel—who?

Who knows the gem, who

ما كُلُّ مَنْ يُبْصِرُهُ

ما كُلُّ مَنْ يُبْصِرُهُ

يَدْرِي بِمقْدارِ الثَّمَنْ

يَدْرِي بِمقْدارِ الثَّمَنْ
