ياO رَبِّmy Lord لاطِفْbe gentle with وَلَدِيmy child
يا رَبِّ لاطِفْ وَلَدِي
وعافِهِand heal him مِنْfrom أَلَمِهْhis pain
وعافِهِ مِنْ أَلَمِهْ
O my Lord, be gentle with my child,
O Lord, bless my son
And relieve him of his pain.
And heal him from his pain
فالقَلْبُfor the heart مِنِّيof mine والهٌdistraught
فالقَلْبُ مِنِّي والهٌ
لِمَاbecause of what عَرَاbefell مِنْof سَقَمِهْhis illness
لِمَا عَرَا مِنْ سَقَمِهْ
For my heart is distraught
For my heart is devoted to him
At the illness that has befallen him.
For what he suffers from his illness
قَدْindeed لَطَفَwas kind اللهُGod بِهِto him
قَدْ لَطَفَ اللهُ بِهِ
بِمَنِّهِthrough His grace وكَرَمِهْand His generosity
بِمَنِّهِ وكَرَمِهْ
God has indeed been kind to him
God has blessed him
Through His grace and generosity.
With His grace and nobility
