لَسْتُ أَسْوَى قَطُّ شَيْئاً

لَسْتُ أَسْوَى قَطُّ شَيْئاً

لاَ ولاَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّهْ

لاَ ولاَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّهْ

I am worth nothing at all,

I have never felt worse about anything,

No, not even the weight of a speck.

Not even a speck.

وَإذَا تَسْمَعُ مَنْ يَمْ

وَإذَا تَسْمَعُ مَنْ يَمْ

دَحُ فَالْظَّاهِرُ غَرّهْ

دَحُ فَالْظَّاهِرُ غَرّهْ

And if you hear someone offering

And when you hear someone praise me,

Praise, outward appearance has deceived him.

It is only pretense.

لو دَرَى بِي مِثْلَ ما أَدْ

لو دَرَى بِي مِثْلَ ما أَدْ

رِي لأَولانِيَ نُفْرَهْ

رِي لأَولانِيَ نُفْرَهْ

If he knew me as I

If he knew me as I know myself,

Know myself, he would show me aversion.

He would surely shun me.

غَيْرَ أَنّي أَرْتَجي منْ

غَيْرَ أَنّي أَرْتَجي منْ

خَالِقِ الْعَالَم غَفْرَهْ

خَالِقِ الْعَالَم غَفْرَهْ

Yet I hope to receive from

Except that I hope for forgiveness

The Creator of the world forgiveness,

From the Creator of the world.

لا بأَعْمالِي وَلكِنَّ

لا بأَعْمالِي وَلكِنَّ

بِبَحْرِ الْفَضْلِ وَفْرَهْ

بِبَحْرِ الْفَضْلِ وَفْرَهْ

Not through my deeds, but

Not for my deeds, but for

Through the abundant ocean of grace.

The vast sea of His grace.

يا إلَهي لَيْسَ لي قَطُّ

يا إلَهي لَيْسَ لي قَطُّ

سِوى فَضْلِكَ ذُخْرَهْ

سِوى فَضْلِكَ ذُخْرَهْ

O my God, never have I any

My God, I have nothing

Treasure save Your grace.

Except Your bounty as my treasure.
