الأمْرُauthority للهِbelongs to God وَحْدَهHim alone
الأمْرُ للهِ وَحْدَه
فاقْصِدْهُso turn to Him فيin كُلِّevery شِدَّهhardship
فاقْصِدْهُ في كُلِّ شِدَّه
Authority belongs to God alone.
The command belongs to Allah alone
So turn to Him in every hardship.
So seek Him in every adversity
وكَيْفَand how يَقْصِدُturns to عَبْداًa servant
وكَيْفَ يَقْصِدُ عَبْداً
مَنْone who مالِكُthe master of العَبْدِthe servant عِنْدَهat hand for him
مَنْ مالِكُ العَبْدِ عِنْدَه
And how can one turn to a servant
And how can a servant seek
when the servant's Master is at hand?
One whose servant is with Him
